The Hopkins County Fall Festival returns to Sulphur Springs this October, filling the streets and gathering places with parades, carnival lights, arts and crafts, and the kind of small-town fellowship that makes autumn special. From October 9 through October 12, 2025, families, neighbors, and visitors will come together once again for one of the community’s biggest annual events.

This tradition stretches back decades, and over the years it has grown into a showcase of everything Hopkins County has to offer. The Fall Festival blends carnival fun with hometown creativity, creating a week where old friends reconnect and new memories are made.

One of the highlights of the festival is the carnival, which sets up for several days of rides, games, and fair food. From Ferris wheels to funnel cakes, the midway offers a chance for kids and adults alike to laugh and play under the bright lights. Just as beloved is the parade, which will take place on Saturday morning, October 11, at 10:00 a.m. Marching bands, decorated floats, and community groups will fill downtown Sulphur Springs with music, color, and excitement as crowds gather along the streets.

The arts and crafts show is another favorite, featuring local artisans and vendors with handmade items, gifts, and seasonal treats. It’s a perfect spot to shop for something unique while supporting local creativity. Families will also enjoy the Kids Zone, with activities designed for younger children, from petting zoos and train rides to playful games. Around town, visitors will notice the popular Hay Bale Decorating Contest, where businesses and organizations compete to design the most creative fall displays, giving the entire county a festive look.

Admission to most of the festival is free, although rides, food, and some activities require tickets or purchase. Parking is available near Celebration Plaza and at Sulphur Springs High School, but those attending the parade are encouraged to arrive early to find a good spot.

The Fall Festival is more than just a weekend of entertainment. It is a reflection of Hopkins County’s heritage and hospitality, a time when the whole community gathers to celebrate the season. For residents, it is a reminder of the ties that bind neighbors together, and for visitors, it is an invitation to experience the charm of Sulphur Springs in its most vibrant season.

Mark your calendars now for October 9–12, 2025. Whether you come for the parade, the carnival, or simply to enjoy the company of your community, the Hopkins County Fall Festival promises an unforgettable celebration of autumn in Sulphur Springs.
